Isabell Brown Jackson, 85, formerly of Altus, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her daughter's home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Kincannon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Isabell Brown was born August 24, 1933 in Altus, Oklahoma to Jodie and Nancy (Lewis) Brown. She attended the Lincoln School and attained additional training in the retail business in Oklahoma City. Isabell married William Burris on June 18, 1951 in Altus, Oklahoma. She was a loving wife and mother, staying busy in the home raising her children. Isabell had worked at English Village Nursing Home for 16 years. She married Haywood Jackson on January 17, 1986 in Vernon, Texas and was a member of the Holy Revival Center in Altus. Isabell enjoyed studying and reading her Bible, sewing, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
Isabell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Haywood Jackson; three daughters, Lillie Burris, Sharedene Burris and Patricia Goodlow; two great great grandsons, DeVonte Branch and Antonio Pease; three sisters, Lorene Lyons, Mary Brown and Rosezene Johnson; five brothers, Nathaniel Rowans, Forrest Brown, Jodi "Junior" Brown, W.C. Brown and Jolly Brown.
Isabell is survived by two daughters, Linda Burris and Cynthia Parrish; two sons, William Burris and Kenneth Burris; one sister, Thelma Carrington; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many friends.
Public viewing for Mrs. Jackson will begin Monday afternoon. The Jackson Family will greet friends during a family visitation Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
