Jack Armstrong, 75, of Altus, OK passed away Thursday night, December 9, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2010, at Kincannon Memorial Chapel with A.C. Ezzell officiating. Burial will follow services at the Faxon Cemetery, Faxon, Oklahoma, under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Jack Armstrong was born February 23, 1935 to Charles Earl and Audrey Faye (Jones) Armstrong in Chattanooga, Oklahoma. Jack graduated from Lawton High School in 1953 and attended Cameron College. He married Becky Leeson August 18, 1982 in Vernon, Texas. Jack worked for Wonder Bread for several years. Then he worked for Frito Lay 22 years and retired in 1998. He enjoyed watching sports – basketball, baseball, football and Nascar – and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed working with his wife and her sorority, Delta Eta Chapter, and their husbands, when setting up for the Miss Altus Pageant. Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents and two infant sons, Ronald Jack Armstrong, Jr. and Ronald Charles Armstrong. He is survived by his wife, Becky, of the home; two daughters, Terry Shive and husband Vernon of Altus, OK, Bobbie Sue Rogers, of Atlanta, GA; one son, Tony Armstrong and wife, Jennifer, of Altus, OK; one sister, Earline Bone and husband, Orville, of Oklahoma City, OK ; one brother, Denis Armstrong of Oklahoma City, OK; eleven grandchildren, Bradley Wathen and wife, Asheley, of Madsion, Wisconsin, Bubba Wathen and wife, Lunicia, of Altus, OK, Moose Wathen and wife, Mary, of Altus, OK, Angela Shive of Wolfe City,TX, Michael Shive and wife, Kirstie, of Altus, OK, Jason Shive and wife, Amber, of Wolfe City, TX, Emily Heister and husband, Brandon, of Perry, OK, Savannah Rogers of Atlanta, GA, Harrison Rogers of Atlanta, GA, Taylor Clark Armstrong of Altus, OK, and Becca Armstrong of Altus, OK; fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of friends. The family will host a visitation for friends and family Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Kincannon Funeral Home.
