James Richard Danyeur

James Richard “Jim” Danyeur, 58, Altus, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021at his home. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Jason Rogers officiating. Services and cremation will be under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Jim was born on August 21, 1962 in Taranto, Italy to Joseph Paul Danyeur and Filomena D’Urso. James began rodeoing at a very young age, competing in bull riding events across the area. He graduated from Altus High School in 1981 where he was an active FFA member. He was a welder by trade and worked in the construction industry most of his adult life. James enjoyed playing pool and going fishing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Odom, Joseph Danyeur, Trey Waldroop, Francesco and Immacolato D’Urso.

James is survived by his son, Colton Danyeur; daughter Casey Lee and husband, Justin; mother, Filomena Danyeur; father, Paul Danyeur; sisters, Peggy D’Urso and husband, Chuck, and Sandy George and fiancé, Mark Woodress; granddaughter Madelyn Lee; nieces and nephews, Tyler Baartman, Laura Bonewitz, Amanda Waldroop, Jennifer Baartman, Bryan Waldroop and Garrett Waldroop; and many other family members and friends.
