James Lee Morris, 73, Altus, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at English Village Manor. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Services and cremation have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home. James Lee Morris was born to Floyd Wesley and Margarite (Ingram) Morris on November 24, 1940 in Shelby County, Alabama. After graduating from high school, he attended Western Oklahoma State College. James and Melba Loftis met at the Altus Air Force Base in 1959. They were married on January 19, 1960 in Altus, OK, and to this union three children were born. James served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked for Civil Service as a metal fabricator, retiring in 2004. He worked for G & S Vending and for Republic Gypsum. He was of the Baptist faith. James loved NASCAR; cooking out; and most of all spending time with family and friends. James is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Morris; and three brothers-in-law, Bobby Hall, Selmer Rowell and Ken Baker. He leaves behind one daughter, Brantley Morris of Altus, OK; two sons, Shawn Morris and wife, Francine, of Altus, OK and Jimmy Morris of Stillwater, OK; three sisters, Annette McClellan and family, Carolyn Hall and Elizabeth Starnes and husband, Paul, all of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Keith Morris and wife, Lori, of Bixby, OK, Nickolas Morris and wife, Cassandra, of Tipton, OK, Kelli Cusher and husband, Cody, of Altus, OK, Kameron Morris and fiancé, Krista, of Tulsa, OK, Grace Morris of Stillwater, OK, Kyle Neal Law of Altus, OK, and Alissa Louise Morris of Sebastian, FL; six great grandchildren with two great granddaughters on the way; and several other nieces and nephews.
