James Wesley Wooten, Jr., 54, Warren, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home in Warren, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Warren Cemetery, Warren, Oklahoma under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. James Wooten was born May 17, 1959 in Kermit, Texas to James Wesley and Ada Lou (Pair) Wooten, Sr. He graduated from Ellis, Texas High School in 1978. He retired after working nineteen years as a guard at the Granite reformatory. The family said he was “tough on the outside and nice on the inside.” He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and watching western movies. He loved his pets, especially his dogs. Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his parents. James is survived by one sister, Marie James and husband, Ray, of Edinburg, Texas; one brother, Guy Wooten of Altus, OK; close family friends, Raynie Vann and her husband, James Lowe, of Edmond, Oklahoma; one nephew, Gerald James of Krum, Texas; two nieces, Brandy Wooten of Wylie, Texas, Crystal Johnson of Anna, Texas; five great-nieces and nephews, Haley, Liam, Leah, Aiden, Thomas; and several other family members.
