Jan Amore

Jan Amore, 75, Altus, passed away at her home Thursday evening, February 16, 2017. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow services at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Lubbock City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Jan Amore was born February 23, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Howard D. and Judith (Cuba) Crawford. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas and attended Lubbock Public Schools. She continued her education at Jessie Lee Beauty School in Lubbock, Texas. Jan moved to Altus in 1971 to begin her salon career and married Joe Amore in 1975. She was a salon owner/operator in Altus for many years and was a friend to many. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening, her pet dogs, crafts, travel and spending time with her family.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; daughter, Brenda Jan Gray and brother-in-law, Don Feazell.
She is survived by her two daughters, Judi Poling and husband, Danny; Lara Sanchez and fiance, John Nobriga; one son, Cody Mires and wife, Sherry; a sister, Sylvia Feazell; five grandchildren, Joseph Gray and wife, Amber; Michelle Poling; Jamee Lee Mires; Joel Ceniceros and wife, Olivia and Danielle Gray; 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The Amore family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Kincannon Funeral Home.
