Jean "Jeanie" Smith

Jean Irene “Jeanie” Smith, 64, Altus, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Andrew Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Jeanie was born on September 12, 1950 to Vernie Max “Bo” and Prudie I. (Cook) Dawson in Tulare, California. Jeanie and Charles A. Smith were united in marriage on February 29, 1968 at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. Jeanie was a hairdresser and operated her shop for many years. She enjoyed working in the outdoors, especially in her garden. She loved being with her family and friends. Jeanie is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; one daughter, Rachell Wood and husband, Leland, of Haughton, Louisana; one son, Charles Wayne Smith and his wife, Leslie, of Altus, OK; three sisters, Carol Wright of Georgetown, TX, Dawnie Aldrete and husband, Rick, of Vernon, TX and Geraldine Dawson of Texas; and four grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Smith, Charles “Butch” Smith, David Smith and MaryJo Smith. https://www.tributeslides.com/videos/embedded_video/WQPX4R8WL5JF2SN5
