Jeffrey Dale Smith, 61, Olympia, Washington, passed away at his home Thursday, July 25, 2019. Memorial services will be held at a later date under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Jeffrey was born on August 28, 1957 in Bourne, Massachusetts to Bill and Joyce (Thompson) Smith. He graduated high in Bellevue, Nebraska and served in the US Navy from 1975 - 1977. Jeffrey loved to fish and was currently working as a commercial fisherman in Westport, Washington and Alaska. He was a member of the Grace Works Christian Church in Olympia.
His father, Bill Smith, a son, Lyle David Smith, and a sister, Deborah Abernethy, and a sister-in-law, June Smith, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Joyce Smith; a sister, Sue Barnes and husband, Jeff; a brother, Gary Smith; three nieces, Casey Morford and husband, Pat; Jesan Kaushik and husband, Nagender, and Megan Jacobsen and husband, Brandon; and three nephews, Kevin Abernethy, Chris Barnes and wife, Jeny, and Michael Barnes and wife, Emily.
