Jerri Lynn Northam, 74, longtime Quanah resident, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Altus. No services are scheduled at this time and a private inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Jerri Lynn Pierce was born on September 30, 1948 in the Panama Canal Zone, Panama to Walter and Beatrice (Cuillerier) Pierce. As a child she traveled with her Air Force family, primarily growing up in Riverside, CA. Jerri married Woodie Northam in Quanah, Texas on November 10, 1979. She received a BS in psychology from West Texas A&M in 1995. Jerri and Woodie farmed near Quanah. She mostly worked as a case worker at the Woods Living Center and later retired from Headstart of North Texas in 2010. She was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed reading and tending to her flowers and plants.
She was preceded in death by her son, Morgan Williams; mother, Beatrice Driskill; father, Walter Pierce; brother, Tom Pierce; and sister, Darlene Sparks.
Those left to honor Jerri’s memory are her husband, Woodie; daughter, Shelly Northam; sons, Trevor Pierce Northam and wife, Jenny, JW Northam, and Bucky Northam and wife, Rachel; siblings, Geni Bevis and Melody Mirch; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many friends.
