Jessie Faye Plew

Jessie "Faye" Plew, 92, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Doug Altom officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Jessie Faye Longley was born on October 1, 1922 to Jess H. and Opal C. (Fillpot) Longley in Hollis, Oklahoma. She attended Arnett High School. Faye and Max E. Plew were united in marriage on January 1, 1980 in Vernon, Texas. Faye was a homemaker until 1973, when she began cooking for the Altus Public Schools. She was a cook for Washington and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. She retired in 1987 and once again became a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved to work in her yard and crochet.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Max E. Plew, two sisters, Doris Meason and Billie Longley, and two brothers, Don Longley and Max Longley.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja G. Allen and husband, Bob; two grandchildren, Jim Allen and Cindy Laurence; four great grandchildren, Stephanie Letney and husband, Michael, Daniel Laurence, Jessica Allen and Elisabeth Allen; two great great grandchildren, Abigail and Ruth Letney; and two sisters, Louise Argo and Lavena Burns.
