Jesus Manuel Benitez, 64, Altus, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carlos Moreno officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Jesus was born on January 28, 1953 in Mexico to Francisco and Petra (Sanchez) Benitez. He married Genoveva Ocampo in March of 1972. Jesus worked for the Jackson County Cotton Cooperative for 40 years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus and enjoyed the newest electronics including phones, computers, tablets and phone watches. Jesus especially loved grilling, music, Pandora radio and recording family gatherings.
His mother preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Genoveva, of the home; his father, Francisco Benitez; a brother, Eloy Benitez and wife, Petra; two daughters, Ruth Nichols and fiancé, Leroy Flores, and Esmirna Selden and husband, Tyler; a son, Jesus Manuel Benitez, Jr.; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Jason and Brittany Nichols, Jesse and Israel Coronado, Jacob Benitez, Jesse "JR" Benitez III, Brandon and Bailey Bryant, and Ariana, Serenity and Sergio Benitez; and three great grandchildren, DeLaynie Victoria, Rylan Valdez and Annabelle Nichols.
