Jesus M. Gloria

Jesus M. Gloria, 76, Altus, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 in Altus. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Paul Gloria officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Jesus was born on August 12, 1937 in Acuna, Mexico to Jose Sandoval and Dominga (Martinez) Gloria. He married Janie Menchaca on August 22, 1983 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He served as a police officer for many years in Sentinel, Cordell and Burns Flat. He also worked as a security guard, private investigator and worked in conjuction with the FBI. Jesus enjoyed fishing, camping, horseback riding and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. His parents; a daughter, Jessica Garcia; a granddaughter, Sami Jo Maldonado; four brothers, Florentino, Richard, Edward and Ramon Gloria; and two sisters, Maria Vega and Josefina Lindo, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of the home; several children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Gloria and wife, Connie, of Altus, OK; three sisters, Rosa Trevino and husband, Roberto, of Altus, OK, Linda Gloria of Mangum, OK, and Janie Montalvo and husband, Veto, of Willow, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
