Joel Paniagua, 44, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Noble Penland officiating. Inurnment of cremated remains will follow services at the Granite City Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Granite Community Center, Granite, Oklahoma.
Joel Gabriel Paniagua was born February 3, 1971 to Manuel Perez and Eva (Estraca) Flores in San Jose, California. Joel was raised by Lino A. Paniagua. He attended and graduated from Altus High School in 1989. During his school years he was a member of "That Altus Band." He loved to cook and was a chef by trade. Joel enjoyed dancing, listening to music, watching WWE Wrestling, baseball and football. He loved having good times with his wife, children, family and his friends. Joel had a very contagious laugh and smile and was studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Eva E. Paniagua; a son, Noah Paniagua; brother, Baldomar Paniagua; grandmother, Delores Estraca; grandfather, Jose Estraca and niece, Leticia Booker.
Joel is survived by his father, Lino A. Paniagua; sons, Anthony Deshano, Nathan Rambo, Brett Paniagua and Gabriel Paniagua; four sisters, Linda Overman, DeeDee Perry, Vera Booker, and Rachel Flores. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew and friends as well as his brothers-in-law.
