John William "Bud" Crismon

John William “Bud” Crismon, 81, Altus, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Tom Stephens officiating. Services are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
John William Crismon was born August 1, 1939 in Moore, Oklahoma to William M. and Donnie (Rushing) Crismon. His family had moved to Seminole, Texas where he graduated with the Class of 1958. Bud continued his education at Abilene Christian College and Sulross College in Abilene, Texas. Bud was self employed as a Pawn broker most of his adult life. He married Susan Freeze on March 17, 1989 in Altus, Oklahoma. Bud was a long-time member of the Church of Christ, attending Thomas Street and later at Elm and Hudson congregations. He enjoyed painting, working with stained glass, studying his Bible, his dogs and the art of “buy, sell and trade”.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Eugene Ray Crismon; and sisters, JoAnn and Jean Spich.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; a daughter, Kay Lynn Maher; a son, John A. Crismon; a stepson, Michael Watts; his sister, Susan Adams; and many friends.
