John Russell Gossage, 60, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, December 19, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation services under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and cremation.
John was born and raised in Altus and was a lifelong part of the community. As a teen John was a harvester. As an adult he worked for the City of Altus as a heavy Machine operator and mechanic. John raced stock cars and funny cars in his younger years. He remained an avid fan of all types of racing for the rest of his life.
John is survived by his sister Pam Tuckerson and husband Thomas of Altus and nephew Eric Simmons of Altus. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Cory Simmons.
