Joseph Ray Powell

Joseph Ray Powell was born on February 18, 1929 to Herbert and Bertha Powell in Snyder, Oklahoma. He married Irmgard Allen in Vernon, Texas on May 4, 1995. Joe worked as a civil service metal fabricator for many years at Altus Air Force Base before retiring. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed motorcycles, guns and traveling.
His parents and a sister, Eva Howard, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Irmgard, of the home; a son, Jody Powell; two stepdaughters, Chris Schlais and husband, Geno, and Andrea Gambill; a stepson, John Allen and wife, Kerry.
