Judith “Judi” Lea Poling, 63, Watauga, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Charlie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Judi was born on November 11, 1957 to Loyd Gene Gray and Jan Crawford. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas before moving to Altus. She graduated high school in Altus where she met her best friend and love of her life and built her legacy. She married her best friend and love of her life, Danny J. Poling, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judith graduated from Western Oklahoma State College with an associate’s degree in accounting. She moved to Texas where she retired as a paralegal with American Airlines. Judi was a member of the Mom’s for Active Service Members where she followed her son, Joel, while he served in Iraq. She loved reading books, gardening, and sewing, where she would make blankets for the auction for her husband’s family reunions. Judi was an old soul and loved to play music to remind her of the old days she so enjoyed. She loved her family and was very prideful of her life and all her accomplishments. Judi knew no stranger and welcomed everyone in her home to listen and show them love. She had a strong faith and loved her family. She and Danny loved to watch their children and grandchildren in all sports and were involved in all school functions. She will be missed greatly by everyone that knew her; she was a special lady and holds a special place in everyone’s hearts.
Her father, Loyd Gene Gray; mother, Jan and husband, Joe Amore; and a sister, Brenda Gray, preceded her in death.
Judi left behind her best friend and love of her life, husband, Danny J. Poling, of 42 years; sons, Joseph Douglas Gray and wife, Amber Gray, and Joel Ceniceros; daughter, Michelle Lea Poling; stepson, Danny Poling, Jr. and wife, Katherine Poling; her grandchildren, Joseph Gray “JoJo,” Alexis Rodriguez, Cody Gray, DJ Pena, and Nicholas Pena “Nico”; great-grand children, Kaden Rodriguez “Hot Rod”, Nyomi Coffey and Kaylani Lea; sister, Laura Sanchez; a brother, Cody Mires and wife, Sherry; sisters-in-law, LaDonna Aubrey and husband, Jim Wiley, Peggy Mullen and husband, Gary, Karen Newell and husband, Johnny, and Sharon Clendennen and husband, Eddie; brother-in-law, Geary Poling and wife, Sue (Judi had a special bond with Geary); several nieces and nephews including Danielle Gray, David Tyler, and a special bond with Pam Jackson. She had a special place in her heart for Lisa Tyler. Lisa was there all the times they needed her.
