Juretta Juanice Romine, 85, Altus, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at English Village Manor in Altus. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Elmore City Church Of Christ with Joe Fauth officiating. Burial will follow in Foster Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Juretta Juanice Mullens was born January 18, 1934 to J.R. and Edna (Smith) Mullens in Elmore City, Oklahoma. Juanice attended school in Elmore City and married Charles Romine on December 31, 1950 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She worked in Civil Service at Ft. Sill; worked at the Social Security Office in Altus and for the National Forestry Service in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Juanice was a member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ; enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and reading history. She taught herself to play the piano and organ and could play by ear. Juanice loved her family and time spent with them was her greatest treasure.
Juanice is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Charles; brothers, Manson Mullens and Glen Mullens; and sister, Arletha Layton.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Helton and husband, Kenneth; son, Jay Romine and wife, Mary; six grandchildren, Jamie Gabardi and husband, Wayne; Stacie Erickson; Kelley Kleeman and husband, Durick; Jay Charles Romine and wife, Savannah; Jared Helton; and Whitney Fauth and husband, Joe; ten great-grandchildren, Deegan Foley, Dillon Foley, Nate Erickson, Jayce Erickson, Sam Erickson, Lainie Romine, JaiJ Romine, Jace Helton, Wyatt Helton and Tristan Kleeman.
