Kathryn "Sue" Stillwell, 70, Altus, died Tuesday morning at English Village Manor. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Brother Boyd Whitehead officiating. Cremation services have also been provided by Kincannon Funeral Home. Kathryn Elizabeth McCarty was born on June 27, 1944 to J. T. and Velma (Riggs) McCarty in Altus, Oklahoma. Her father died when she was 9 years old and she was raised by her mother, Velma, and stepfather, Cleo "Red" Hewitt. She graduated from Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tennessee and had attended Cleveland Community College as well. She married Charles Stillwell on June 30, 1962 in Altus, Oklahoma. Kathryn was a homemaker, an artist, poet, owner of Gee Whiz Upholstery and a manager of the art department where she worked at the time. She enjoyed fishing, making dolls she called "Sue's Cuties" and gardening. She was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; daughter, Kathy Cryer and husband, Sammy; two sons, Matthew E. Stillwell and wife, DeAnna, and Larry Rajski; sister, Glenda Jordan and husband, Leon; five grandchildren, Chase E. Cryer and partner, Jessica McClung, Kathryn "Cassidy" J. Cryer and fiance, Dustin Soper; Jake, Ethan and Shae Stillwell; two great grandchildren, Blakeley Autumn Soper and Aislinn "Tia" McClung; one niece, Tonja Siston; three nephews Thomas Eugene McMullen, Myron McMullen, Danny Tomlinson; three great nieces; one great nephews; two great great nieces; four great great nephews and host of other family and friends. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
