Keith Kimbrel, 44, Martha, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 near Sayre, OK. Funeral services with Masonic rites are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Martha Road Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Baker and Don Hervey officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Keith Kimbrel was born on July 26, 1967 to Andrew and Delphine “Peggy” (Phillips) Kimbrel in Burlington, Iowa. He and Peggy Van Pelt were united in marriage on July 14, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had attended a Marriage Renewal Seminar and renewed their marriage vows in December. He was a truck driver for more than ten years and was currently working for Canyon Oil Field Services in Sayre. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Martha Volunteer Fire Department for seven years. He was an active member of the Martha Road Baptist Church and was very active in his kids’ activities at the church as well as the Men’s Ministries. He was a wonderful husband and father. Keith was a hard worker, he loved to help people, and liked to target shoot with his son, Dillon. He loved car racing and owned his own race car.
His paternal grandparents, Agnes and Benjamin Kimbrel, and his maternal grandparents, Bobbie and Harvey Phillips, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy, of the home; six children, Samantha, Dillon and Jayson, all of the home, Paris, of Kingsville, TX, Hannah, of Arkansas, and Andrew “Cody” of Arkansas; a sister, Shirl Powell and husband, Todd, of Kingsville, TX; two brothers, Robert “Denny” Kimbrel and wife, Elva, of Corpus Christi, TX, and Terry Kimbrel and wife, Sonya, of Tallahassee, FL; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Donations may be made to the AWANA Clubs International, Adopt a club fund @ awanainternational.org
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the funeral home.
