Kelley Lee Fixico

November 5, 1987 — March 14, 2025

Cordell

In loving memory of Kelley Lee Fixico, whose radiant spirit and contagious smile graced every room she entered, we announce her peaceful passing on the early morning of March 14, 2025, in Oklahoma City, following a long and hard-fought illness. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Kelley’s luminous legacy lives on in every life she touched—most profoundly through her final, generous wish of organ donation.

Born on November 5, 1987, in Lawton to Cleetus Vann “Skeet” and Leudena (Oldham) Fixico, Kelley was the cherished only daughter in a sibling trio. She was the 3rd of five generations of the Fixico family and just one of a long lineage of the Creek bloodline. A proud graduate of Hobart High School, she embraced life with joy despite the challenges that sometimes accompanied her medical hardships. Her vibrant spirit was a beacon of laughter and love, making every encounter with her a treasured memory.

She was a passionate advocate for Autism Awareness, dedicating her time to numerous charitable benefits throughout her life. Though Kelley saw her contributions as small, she understood their profound impact on the lives of many. Kelley’s dedication extended to early childhood development, where she played an integral role across multiple centers while working for Southwest Community Action Group. Through her efforts, countless low-income families were given the opportunity to provide their children with essential growth and development skills—opportunities that might not have been possible otherwise.

Kelley’s journey was beautifully intertwined with that of Patrick Popejoy, whom she met on October 11, 2012, through their shared passion for bowling. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, joy, and mutual support. Her passions ranged widely—from riding horses and barrel racing to playing video games and all things with wheels—each reflecting her boundless love for life and adventure.

Kelley had a guarded heart but a boundless capacity for love. Those fortunate enough to be within her small, trusted circle knew the depth of her unwavering friendship and care. She was determined, fiercely independent, and always ready to prove doubters wrong. When told she couldn’t do something, her response was simple: “Watch me.” Her resilience and inner strength were limitless. She never backed down from a challenge and gave her all in everything she pursued. Across the bowling and automotive communities, she was an inspiration—demonstrating that her disabilities would never define or limit her. Even if she didn’t fully realize it, Kelley was a beacon of encouragement for others. She shared her knowledge, supported her peers, and stood by those navigating their own journeys.

Kelley’s impact was immeasurable, and her legacy of strength, kindness, and determination will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Her memory is eternally cherished by those who loved her: her devoted husband, Patrick; her beloved daughters, Chevelle and Serinity Hitchcock, who were her pride and joy; her father, Skeet Fixico; her brothers, Chebony and Eagle Fixico; as well as the many friends, extended family members, and a dedicated bowling community who will continue to honor her light.

As we grieve the loss of Kelley’s physical presence, we also celebrate her life and the enduring impact of her generous spirit. A Remembrance Celebration will be held from 10:00 AM – Noon on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Town & Country Lanes in Altus. Rest in peace, Kelley. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
