Kenneth Ray Ballard, 62, Altus, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Charles Davis officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Kenneth was born on June 1, 1955 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Charles and Reva (Chance) Ballard. He served in the US Army and worked as a construction laborer for most of his life. Kenneth married Kristie Mathwick on March 23, 1998 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a member of the Tamarack Road Church of Christ and enjoyed woodworking, painting, drawing and the OU Sooners.
His father, Charles Ballard, and a sister, Patricia Ann Ballard, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Kristie, of the home; a daughter, Kristy Ganaway and husband, Mark; son, Joey Dawson and wife, Shannon; a stepson, Blake Boone; three grandchildren, Carly Barnes, Isaiah Ganaway and Joey Dawson, Jr.; his mother, Reva Simmons; sister, Eddie Stapp and husband, Tommy; and three brothers, Jimmy, Harold and Billy Ballard.
