Kim Lynell Davis, 55, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Kirt Moelling and Rev. Michael Dye officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 PM at the IOOF Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Kim Streeter was born on January 11, 1957 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Don and Verona (Morgan) Streeter. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1975 and was married on July 10, 1976 to Bruce Davis. While living in Ponca City, she was a bank teller at the First National Bank. In 1978, Kim and her husband moved to Lawton, where she was a teller at the Sooner Federal Savings and Loan. The family moved to Enid in 1981 and Kim was employed at the First National Bank. Kim was a stay at home mother the next several years, spending time with her children. She worked as a teacher’s aide for the Medford Public Schools, after their move to Medford in 1999. They moved to Kingston in 2003, and she became a high school secretary. Kim and her family moved to Altus in 2010, where she began her work with the Altus Migrant Program. In 2011, she began teaching at Grace Day School at Grace United Methodist Church. Kim loved needlework, knitting, crocheting, crafts, smocking, stained glass, technology and gadgets. She enjoyed attending craft shows, especially “Affair of the Heart.” Survivors include her husband, Bruce, of the home; a daughter, Meghan Hull and husband, Michael, of Augusta, GA; a son, Michael Davis of Dallas, Texas, and an “adopted” son, Samuel Qualk of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Aidan and Carson; her father, Don Streeter of Ponca City, Oklahoma; her mother, Verona Mair and her husband, Glen, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Kathy Pettigrew and Konni Streeter, both of Ponca City, Oklahoma. The Davis Family will greet friends from 3pm to 5pm Sunday at Kincannon Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Grace Day School, 620 S. Park Lane, Altus, Oklahoma 73521, 580-482-4093.
