Larry Whitcher, 67, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2012 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Blair Cemetery with Scott Willingham officiating. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Larry George Whitcher was born on January 28, 1945 in Paris, Illinois. He graduated from Paris High School. After graduating from high school, he worked in cereal mills, processing wheat to make cereal, from 1963 to 1976. He married Elizabeth Nolan in 1963 in Paris, IL. She passed away on July 24, 2005. His family moved to Houston, TX where he worked on offshore oil rigs from 1976 to 1996. He moved to Burleson, TX and worked in a machine shop from 1996 to 2003. He moved to Altus, OK in 2003 and has lived here ever since. He loved to watch movies. Larry was of the Baptist Faith. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Elizabeth Nolan Whitcher, second wife, Sharon Whitcher, one sister, Marlene Vidito, and a brother, William Whitcher. He leaves behind three daughters, Lisa Yates and husband, Clifford, of Altus, OK, Lori Yates and husband, Richard, of Lake Worth, TX, and Theresa Cabler and husband, Floyd, of Haltom City, TX; one son, Daniel Whitcher and wife, Esperanza, of Geronimo, OK; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Rebecca and Adam Yates, and Elizabeth, Anthony, Shelby and Shaun Cabler; and four great grandchildren, Trenton and Benjamin Hutchins, Harper Kendrick and Chesney Ferguson.
