LaVern R. Perry, 80, Blair, passed away at her home Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the House of Prayer in Blair, Oklahoma with Ben Brock officiating. Burial will follow services at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
LaVern Ruth Brooks was born December 16, 1935 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Pollard and Ethel (Fade) Brooks. She attended school at Soldier Springs through the 8th grade and graduated high school at Lone Wolf. She married Willie Perry August 16, 1983 in Altus, Oklahoma. She had worked most of her life managing restaurants and cafes.
LaVern had volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Jackson County Memorial Hospital and with the Jackson County Election Board. She was a long time member of the Blair House of Prayer Church, she enjoyed puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Will Dean Brooks and a brother-in-law, Ricky Cargal.
LaVern is survived by her husband, Willie; two sons, Frank Allen Osborne and wife Janie; and Steven Karl Osborne and wife, Brenda; two step daughters, Jareta Kay Perryman and husband, Larry; and Jaretta Delzer and husband, Scott; two sisters, Melva Winters and husband, Charles; and Imogene Cargal; four brothers, Jerry Brooks and wife, Darla; J C Brooks; Fred Brooks and wife, Susan; and Michael Brooks and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren, Cass Osborne and wife, Tiffany, Lacy Osborne Toliver and husband, Dustin, Ethan Osborne and wife, Celeste, Heath Osborne and wife, Lindsey, Kinsey Osborne, Brooke Ornelas and husband, Raymond, Jeremy Delzer and wife, Stephanie, and Johnathan Delzer;16 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Viewing and visitation will be held each day from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Blair House of Prayer with the Perry family hosting visitation Friday evening, July 15, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Lavern Perry's honor and online tributes may be made at
