Lawrence Chester Easly, 73, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his home. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Lawrence Easly was born on August 5, 1939 in Soper, Oklahoma to Jim and Virginia (Johnson) Easly. He worked for Jackson County as an equipment operator for more than 20 years before retiring. He loved horses and worked at a Boys Ranch breaking horses in Rio Vista, Texas. Mr. Easly was a simple man and loved drinking coffee with the Friendship Inn crowd. His parents and a brother, Jack, preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Easly and Dean Cantrell of Altus, Oklahoma, and Patricia Rone of Altus, Oklahoma and her husband, Steven, of Texas; four grandchildren, Matthew Lee Rone, Paige Elizabeth Rone, Kaylynn Margaret Cantrell and L.D. Cantrell, all of Altus, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Mantzke and husband, Bill, of Headrick, Oklahoma, and Alta Jean Easly of Altus, Oklahoma; and a nephew, Jason Mantzke of Headrick, Oklahoma.
