Lawrence W. “Bud” Doresey, Jr., 56, Blair, passed away on December 31, 2012 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Sundar officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Bud Doresey was born on February 8, 1956 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Lawrence William, Sr. and Mary Pauline (Castro) Doresey. He attended Altus High School and graduated in 1974. He attended the University of Oklahoma and later earned his Associate’s Degree from Western Oklahoma State College. Bud married Deborah Moore in Altus on December 24, 1976. He was self employed as a cable lineman, setting up satellite and television cable for DirecTV. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, skiing, swimming, sailboats, reading books, and spending time with his grandkids and family. His daughter, Michelle Pauline Doresey, and his father, Lawrence William “Bill” Doresey, Sr., preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Deborah, of the home; three daughters, Cindy, Dianna and Ashley Doresey, all of Altus, OK; a son, Lawrence William Doresey, III and his wife, Cassi, of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren, Xavier, Ronnie, Jayden, Isaiah, Colby, Natalie and Tanzy; his mother, Mary Doresey, of Blair, OK; six sisters, Donna Shannon and husband, Randy, of Petrolia, TX, Peggy Smiley and husband, Bill, of Chico, TX, Linda McElroy of Lewisville, TX, Sharon Kuykendall of Mount Holly, NC, Major Ruth Adams of Jersey City, New Jersey, and Gail Adams of Wellington, NC; and a brother, George Adams, of Wellington, NC. The family will receive friends at 6:00 PM and host a rosary at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2013 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel.
