Leo Richardson, 87, Elmer, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Ricky Crouch officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Leo was born October 26, 1931 to Thomas Merle and Bessie Mae (Huddleston) Richardson in Elmer, Oklahoma. He attended school in Elmer and Southside. Leo and Mary K. Kelly were united in marriage on December 8, 1953 in Elmer, Oklahoma and to this marriage two children were born. Leo was a heavy equipment operator. He worked for C.C. Pitts Sand & Gravel then City Concrete from 1954 to 1971. He then went to work for Jackson County from 1971 to 1990. Leo was a member of the Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, traveling, piddlin' with his tractor and hanging out with his son, Craig, and G.W. George while they worked cattle. Leo spent many hours with Todd and Pitt Ware, hunting hogs on the river. Leo loved spending time with his family and friends and will be truly be missed.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Danlua Richardson and Vera Mae Hasty.
Leo is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; daughter, Darlene Burnham; son, Craig Richardson; four grandchildren, Kendra Fixico, Crystal Fixico, Amanda Loudermilk and husband, Derek, and Dakota Richardson; ten great-grandchildren, Sonny Kelly Heyden, Sarah Jean Heyden, Ed Heyden, Mahkenna Miller, Logan Reyes, Bryce Reyes, Talon Loudermilk, Jaema Loudermilk, Deagen Richardson and Oaklyn Richardson; and a sister, Lois Murley and husband, Jerry.
The Richardson family will greet friends 6 to 8 PM, Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
