Leopoldo Paul Benivamonde

Leopoldo Paul Benivamonde, lovingly known to all as 'Paul', passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 19th. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20th in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alex Casias officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Paul was born on August 14, 1949, to Alfanso Alvarado and Olivia (Gonzales) Benibamonde in Sinton, Texas. He married Hermelinda Centeno on June 16, 1983, and to this 41-year union they were blessed with eight wonderful children.

Paul worked in road construction most of his adult life, specializing in asphalt. He was never one to sit still for long unless he was watching old western movies. Paul was an avid stockcar racing fan. He had a passion for working with his hands and took great pride in his garden. Paul enjoyed listening to music and dancing. He found solace in the simple things of life like drinking a cup of morning coffee and cruising the streets of Altus. 

His parents, Alfanso and Oliva; and grandchild, Baby Angel precede him in death. His memory lives on in his wife, Hermelinda; daughters, Margie Benivamonde, Olivia Benivamonde-Hernandez and husband, Ever, Blanca Centeno, and Paula Martinez and husband, Carlos; sons, George Benivamonde, Paul Benivamonde Jr., Leopoldo Benivamonde and wife, Norma, and Francisco Centeno and wife, Delilah; grandchildren, Jasmine, Ever Jr., Abygael, Citlali, Ashley, Felicia, Martin, Sergio, Jon Eric, Jazzlene, Gabriel, Joe and wife, Kassandra, Michael, Italia, Francisco Jr. and wife, Savannah, and Sergio; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Nyla, Nevaeha, Avery, Amaris, Nazarene, Ryleigh, Jesse, Ayla, Jason, Ezekiel, Santos, Santiago, Andrea, Papacito, Aiden, Neylan, Lucas, Houston, Emilio, Kyler, Natalie, Noah, and Cataleya; siblings, Alicia Meza and husband, Hector, Angie Benivamonde De Rivera and husband, Martin, Janie Benivamonde, Herman Benivamonde, Henry Benivamonde and wife, Antonia, Toby Benivamonde, Tony Benivamonde, Adam Benivamonde and wife, Tia, Albert Benivamonde, and Blackie Benivamonde; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
