Lerlene Jobe, 90, of Blair, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Oklahoma City. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tyler McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Lerlene Jobe was born on June 14, 1932 in McArthur, Arkansas to Major and Lucy Lerlene (Huggins) Minchew. She married Earl Dean Jobe on January 14, 1951 in Dermott, Arkansas. After Earl was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1955, he and Lerlene moved to Blair where they lived together for over 60 years. She worked alongside Earl with their farming operation, a metal building and trailer business, and Jobe’s Catfish Kitchen before they retired. Lerlene loved to host family get togethers, gardening, selling home interiors, playing bingo, and going to casinos.
Her husband, Earl; parents, Major and Lucy; and 10 siblings preceded her in death.
Those left to honor her include her four daughters, Peggy Ann Thomas, Ella “Sue” Kendrick; Debra Lynn Miller and husband, Mike, and Vicki “Diane” Crofford and husband, Dan; 13 grandchildren, Kathy Sholl, Greg Thomas, Jullie Stokes, April Sirmons, Meagan Barkley, Cherri Calvery, JoAnna Welch, Teresa Miller, Casey Miller, Wayne Harris, Lisa Jackson, Brandy Simpson, and Greg Harris; 30 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Vankanegon; and a host of other family and friends.
