Leslie Albert Stickney, 84, Blair, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at him home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Altom officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Leslie was born on December 30, 1933 in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin to Howard and Mary Alice (Dale) Stickney. He attended schools in Wisconsin and Wyoming before joining the US Navy in 1952. He served for many years and retired as and Aviation Boatswain's Mate H First Class in 1982. Leslie married Delores Saenz on July 6, 1998 in Vernon, Texas. He worked as a yard foreman for a lumber yard for a number of years before finally retiring. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and enjoyed country music and traveling in his motorhome.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Fonda Speaks; a grandson, Gerald Kinney; five sisters, Margie, Betty, Peggy, Delores and Darlene, and three brothers, Robert, Herbert and Howard.
Survivors include his wife, Delores, of the home; six daughters, Ramona Stickney Poolaw and husband, Danny, Myra Combs, Betty Ann Miller, Anita Olivarez and husband, Ramero, Patty Scott and husband, Tyrone; Cathy Broderick and husband, Tom; four sons, Leslie R. Stickney and wife, Beth, Moses Saenz and wife, Kim, Manueal Saenz and Mark Saenz; grandchildren Brittany Babb, Dyani Poolaw, Victoria Gilmore, Richard Large, Andrew Stickney, Leslie R. Stickney, Jr., Elizabeth Swain, Davana Hendrix, Danyelle Poolaw, Misti Thompson, Chris Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Andrew Sanders, Ronnie Saenz, Shenoah Watkins, Savanna Miller, Patrick Miller, Joseph Saenz, Deserea Williamson, Vanessa Flores, Cassie Williamson, Victoria Lopez, Landon Williamson, Adam Olivarez, Rick Olivarez, Cody Cusher, Dacota Cusher, Destiny Jasinski, Charlie Saenz, Chris Broderick, Jessica Lanie and Nichole Broderick as well as numerous great grandchildren.
