Linda Benearl Chandler

Linda Benearl Chandler, 62, Altus, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Homegoing services have been scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Elder William McCaskill officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Linda was born to Leon Chandler and Naomia "Shorty" Crowley on September 4, 1952 in Olustee, Oklahoma. She worked as a manager in restaurants, a CNA at Jackson County Memorial Hospital and a prep cook at Applebees. Linda was an active member of the Old Pathway Pentecostal Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. Linda loved to cook and feed anyone in need. She was a very generous woman. She also loved to sew and sing gospel music.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Erma Tyus. She leaves behind three children, Andrea Chandler of Altus, OK, Monique Hinton of Columbus, GA and Johmar Chandler of Marianna, FL; nine grandchildren, DeAndra Chandler, KeAndra Chandler, Derrick Williams, DeAndre Chandler, Racquel Hinton, Aniya Hinton, Dae'Jon Hinton, Tiara Hinton and Johmar Chandler, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Uriyah and Kameron Chandler. Linda is also survived by eight brothers and sisters, Carlet Crowley, Dianne Goodson, and Earie McCaskill and husband, William, all of Altus, OK, Terry Crowley, Frank Crowley and Virginia "Candy" Berry and husband, Mark, all of Lawton, OK, Leon Chandler of Dallas, TX and Leonette Chandler Pratt of Riverside, CA. Linda also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
