Linda Mae "Chief" Fixico, 68, Altus, passed away at English Village Manor on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Memorial services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Billy Coon and Randy Smith officiating. Cremation and memorial services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Linda was born on May 20, 1948 to Taylor and Dorothy (Harjo) Fixico in Claremore, Oklahoma. She graduated in 1968 from Southside High School and worked at Kellwood's in the early 70's. Linda was known as "Chief" as she worked for Joe Amore at the Horseshoe, then at Mama Mia's and Papa Joe's as a waitress. She also did residential cleaning and was a member of the Indian Baptist Church. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends but she also enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo and cooking.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister-in-law, Lou Fixico, and a brother-in-law, DePorter Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Landon Wayne Fixico and wife, Laurie, and Lynn Dale Fixico and wife, Suzie; four grandchildren, Sabrina Fixico and her boyfriend, Jeremy Nieto, and Skyler, Christian and Jace Fixico; four brothers, Cletus "Skeet" Fixico, Charlie Fixico and wife, Judy, Steve Fixico and Marcus Fixico; and three sisters, Nelda Avila and husband, Bob, Lois Joblin and husband, Mike, and Debbie Johnson; dear friend Dora Tischler and family and host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
