Linda Lue Garrison, 73, Altus, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Lynn Rudd and Mark Haught officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Linda Lue Barnes was born on January 5, 1941 in Quanah, Texas to W. C. “Slim” and Mattie (Steele) Barnes. She married the love of her life, Lynn Garrison, in Texas on June 21, 1967. She was a member of the Elmer United Methodist Church. Her parents, husband and a sister, Margaret Harden, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Shoya Suzehane Garrison of Altus, OK and Mitz Lynn Habben and husband, David, of Luther, OK; two sons, Markel Babb of Altus, OK and Randy Garrison and wife, Deb, of Ponca City, OK; four grandchildren, and Dani Garrison of Altus, OK, Del Habben and wife, Sabrina, of Luther, OK, Brittany Babb and Jacob of Oklahoma City, OK and Tessica Mitchell and husband, Sammy, of Luther, OK; four great grandchildren, Gracin, Braxton, Trinity and Garret; a sister, Myra Buchanan and Jim of Quanah, TX; several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Marlena Eggleston of Quanah, TX; and an adopted son, Pedro Resendis and wife, Sara, of Altus, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elmer United Methodist Church. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
