A Celebration of Life and inurnment of cremated remains will take place at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Altus City Cemetery with Daniel Ingram officiating.

The daughter of Clifford and Marie Sewell, Lynn was born on September 8,1931 in Paris, AR. Lynn was a strong, kind, caring and beautiful soul for all of her family and all those she came across in life. She married Navy man Joe Bob Greene at 17 years of age and bore his four children, losing daughter Jackie Faye at birth. Lynn knew better than most the painful and jarring bumps that life can place in our way. In December 1953 while living in Carlsbad, NM her life path was tragically altered in a car wreck. Her husband, Joe Bob Greene was killed and she was critically injured. At age 22 she was a widow with 3 children under the age of 5 and having lost one child at birth. Lynn’s life was an example that showed her family and friends that one could navigate those bumps with a serene grit, a joyous demeanor and not one moment of self-pity or complaint. Lynn’s strong Christian faith was anchored at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ in Altus for 40 years and the last 13 years of her life a member of the Owasso Church of Christ in Owasso, OK.

Lynn instilled in her children the values of hard work and generosity, but most importantly she instilled in them the value of unconditional familial love, something she never ceased to exhibit every day of her life. Her grandchildren remember her as the epitome of grace, happiness and love. Grandma’s house provided joyful childhood memories filled with food, loving words and strong arms whenever needed. She always made it a safe place where her three “boys” could play with abandon, always knowing Grandma was nearby, happy and watchful.

Lynn was preceded in death by husbands Joe Bob Greene and Willard McKinney, sister Loretta Clemmer, brothers Curtis and Roy Don Sewell and daughter Jackie Faye. She is survived by her son Larry Greene and his wife Gay of San Antonio, TX; daughter Jo Lynn Fultz and her husband Ken of Tulsa, OK; daughter Patty Stauffer and her husband Sam of Claremore, OK; sister Juanita Brown of Texarkana, AR.; grandchildren Joseph Stauffer and his wife Whittney of Tulsa, OK; Robert Greene and wife Khrystyna of Bulverde, TX; and Jonathan Stauffer and wife Whitney of Tulsa, OK; Finally, Lynn is also survived by great grandchildren: Meryl, Sam, Stella and Jack Stauffer of Tulsa, OK and Leo Greene of Bulverde, TX.

Lynn was a radiant human being and throughout her life journey she brought light and love to all she met. On December 29, 2017 her Lord and Savior received one of his greatest treasures back into the heavenly fold.
