Margie Pepper

Margie Pepper, 104 years, 11 months, and 27 days, passed away peacefully with friends by her side in the early morning hours of February 18, 2024, in Altus, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on February 27, 2024, at the English Village Manor located at 1515 Canterbury Boulevard in Altus. 

Margie was born on February 22, 1919, to the late John Samuel and Sarah Jane (Gibson) Pepper in Martha, Oklahoma. She graduated from Martha Public Schools, and upon graduating she worked in Blair, Oklahoma for a restaurant. She also volunteered at Park Lane Manor in Altus. She assisted with bingo and other activities for the residents. Margie was a member of the Red Hats Society where ladies met for fellowship and fun. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. 

She was proceeded in death by her father, John Samuel Pepper; mother, Sarah Jane Pepper; stepmother, Martha Elizabeth Pepper; sisters, May Alene Pepper, Clara L. Swett, and Alma Renflo; brothers, John William Pepper, Clarence Boyd Pepper, and Abner Carl Pepper.
