Maria Alcorta Luna, 84, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A rosary will take place at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel.
Maria Alcorta was born on March 31, 1936 to Miguel T. and Aurora (Salazar) Alcorta in Charlotte, Texas. She married Espiridion “Speedy” Luna on February 13, 1955 in Plainview, Texas. Maria was a homemaker and loved sewing and watching her Spanish shows. She was a mother, sister and grandma. She was loved by many family and friends.
Her parents, husband, and two brothers, Jose and Ramon Alcorta, preceded her in death.
She leaves behind four girls and four boys, Anita Sanchez and late husband, Jose, of Altus, OK, Amelia Sanchez and husband, Steven, of Lawton, OK, Maria Molina of Altus, OK, Josefina Luna of Sherman, TX, Juan Luna and wife, Rosa, of Tipton, OK, Jose Luna of Altus, OK, Raymond Luna and Jessie Luna, both of Sherman, TX; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a sister, Erminia Gonzales; and three brothers, Mateo and Domingo Alcorta, and Jessie Alcorta.
