Mariana Bernal Bustos, 82, Duke, passed away on January 8, 2013 in her home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on January 11, 2013, at the Russell Cemetery with Darrell Coffman officiating. Burial is under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Mariana Bernal was born on February 18, 1930 in Converse, Texas to Epifano and Elena (Garcia) Bernal. She grew up in Converse and attended school there. She married Jose Bustos on April 18, 1949. She was a homemaker, worked as a cook for the Duke Public School, cleaned homes, ran her own business and also worked as a caregiver for the Mangum Nursing Home. Mariana enjoyed growing flowers, plants, and working in the yard. A loving mother with a joy for living made her very dear to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose. Survivors include her eight children, Daniel Bustos and wife, Shirley, of Duke, OK, Lydia Garner of Mangum, OK, David Bustos of Duke, OK, Delio Bustos and wife, Janet, of Claremore, OK, Abel Bustos of Granite, OK, Richard Bustos and wife, Vickie, of Duke, OK, Alice Rozzo and husband, William, of Byron, GA, and JoAnn Cox of Sapulpa, OK; a son-in-law, M.D. Cox, of Duke, OK; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonifica Arce and Consuelo Pena; and two brothers, Heladio Bernal of San Antonio, TX, and Luis Bernal of Ogden, Utah. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Kincannon funeral home.
