Marilyn Lindsey Wooley, 72, former Olustee resident of Garland, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the Olustee Cemetery with David Post officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Marilyn was born on June 7, 1943 in Olustee, Oklahoma to Norman H. and Arllie May (Ellis) Lindsey. She attended Olustee schools and graduated from Altus High School in 1962. She married Robert M. Wooley in Altus on December 2, 1961. Marilyn worked for several years as a claims examiner and auditor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield until her retirement. She was a strong Christian woman who would share her faith with others. She enjoyed reading, collections, traveling and gardening.
Her father, Norman H. Lindsey, mother, Arllie May (Lindsey) Bryant, a sister, Norma Lindsey, a brother-in-law, Elvin Hamilton, and a nephew, Roy Hamilton, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Teddy Wayne Wooley; two grandchildren, Tiffany and Brittanie; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Norene Lindsey Hamilton and Florene Lindsey Brewer and husband, Howard; a brother, Harold Lindsey; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
