Marjorie Jeanette "Margie" Faske

Marjorie Jeanette “Margie” Faske, 87, Altus resident of 44 years, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in Moore, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2022 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

The Faske family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, November 11, 2022 at the funeral home.

Marjorie Jeanette Cizmar was born on January 4, 1935 in Flatonia, Texas to Robert and Lillian (Weber) Cizmar. She grew up in Austin, then moved to Giddings, Texas in the 7th grade and attended Giddings schools. She married Otis Barton on December 16, 1951 in Giddings. To this union, ten children were born. Margie moved to Altus, Oklahoma in 1976 and worked as a certified nurse’s aide. She worked for Jackson County Memorial Hospital for over 25 years, and after retirement she continued helping elderly patients as a home health aide. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus. When she moved to Norman to live with family, she became a member of Northhaven Baptist Church. Margie was a member of the Red Hat Society and a Past President of the Altus Chapter of AARP. She enjoyed gardening, growing house plants, feeding any and ALL animals, cooking, and watching classic western movies. She loved singing gospel hymns and classic country and silly songs she learned as a young girl that she passed on to her family. Her passion was with her family, especially her ten children and grandchildren, and she was present at so many grandchildrens’ births, coaching her daughters how to be strong and how to be good moms. She also loved her great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews, always trying to keep up with their lives and how they were doing.

Her parents; husband; two sons, Clifton and David Faske; three sons-in-law, Jerry Murphy, Ronald Myers, and Donald Frankum; sisters-in-law, Joyce Meisner and Sissy Cizmar; brothers-in law, Dewey Faske, Bobby Faske, and Charles Faske; and three great-grandchildren, Glenn Myers, Jennifer Deyoung, and Elijah Frankum; preceded her in death.

Survivors include 8 children, Phyllis Murphy, Carol Myers, Linda Russell and husband, Bob, Brenda Robison and husband, Paul, Katherine Frankum, Susan Miller and husband, Kelly, Glenn Faske and wife, Rhonda, and Martha Barbee and husband, Keith; 24 grandchildren; 35+ great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Cizmar and wife, Alice, and Randy Cizmar; sisters-in-law, Carla Faske and Mary Jane Beisert; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly.
