Mark Hestand

David Marcus Hestand, “Mark,” age 69, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 following a motorcycle accident in Texas. Family, friends, and others whose lives Mark touched are invited to come together to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate Mark’s life. A service in Celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Martha Road Baptist Church, 20388 E County Rd 158, Altus, OK. The Christian Motorcyclists Association will escort Mark for his final ride through Altus at 9:30 am from Kincannon Funeral Home to the church.
Mark was born on October 2, 1949, in Littlefield, TX, to Leonard and Mary (Fancher) Hestand. He was a 1967 graduate of Olustee High School. Mark married Kimberly Enaire on March 11, 1999 on Matanuska Glacier in Alaska and Kimberly was truly the love of his life. Together, they touched the lives of many through their work in the church, the community, and with the Oklahoma Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA). Mark and Kimberly have been members of the CMA since 2009 and serve as the Oklahoma Western Area reps for the organization. Through this work, they have ministered the love of Jesus Christ to countless people in Oklahoma and beyond. Mark did not know a stranger; he had an amazing ability to recall names and faces and connect with those around him. He was a powerful example of what it is to be a loving husband, supportive father, and a caring and fun grandparent/uncle. Mark is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hestand, Altus; father, Leonard Hestand, Altus; mother, Mary Hestand, Shawnee; fathers-in-law Bob Enaire, CO and Kevin Dobbs, WY; sister, Phyllis (Bob) Garofalo, CO; sister, Rhonda (Don) Merrimon, TX; son, Brandon (Meredith) Hestand, AZ; daughter Stefani (James) Midkiff, OH; grandchildren Preston and Lauren MIdkiff, IA, Ravyn and Carter Hestand, AZ; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Leslie (Greg) Roth, CO; Chris (Cheri) Enaire, CO; nieces and nephews Betsy and James Reynolds (Colby, Colton, Calebi, Morgan); Charlie and Lindsey Dollins (Braden, Braylee), Crissa and Zack Yeatts (Peyton), OK; Megan and Thomas (Everett), Hannah, Kendra, Shea (Sadie and Ty), Jessica, and Derek, CO, and many more family members and loving friends who will miss him dearly.
