Mary Daniel, 81, Blair, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Altus First Christian Church with Mark Morey officiating. Burial will take place at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Mary Ellen Fleming was born April 3, 1931 to Howard and Lora (Schooeder) Fleming in Frederick, Oklahoma. Mary attended school in Frederick, Oklahoma. She and Arvel Lee Daniel were united in marriage on September 11, 1948 in Frederick, OK. Mary took great enjoyment in reading; crocheting; and watching westerns, especially Glen Ford and Gene Autry. Her great love in life was her husband and family. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams; grandson, Paul Gittings and one sister, Evelyn Hickerson. She is lovingly survived by her husband Arvel of the home; two daughters, Katherine Sue Myers and husband Gary of Blair, OK; Denise Ann Marshall and husband James of Yukon, OK; one son Russell Daniel and wife Nancy of Little Elm, TX; six grandchildren, Brian Gittings of OKC, OK, Christine Marshall Ballard and husband Brent of Wautauga, TX, Amy Marshall Of OKC, OK, Susan Marshall and her fiancé Brian Hollingshead of Crowder, OK; James Marshall and wife Danielle of Hubert, NC; and Jonathon Marshall of Norfolk, VA; six great-grandchildren, Rachal, Crystal, Natalie, Conrad, Lily and James, Jr. The Daniel family will receive friends from 6 pm to 7 pm Thursday evening at the Kincannon Gathering Room. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Altus.
