Mary P. Doresey, 86, Blair, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12, noon, Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joseph David officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A Rosary service will be held Sunday, 2 p.m. , at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Mary Pauline Castro was born April 15, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Geronimo and Telesfora (Jiminez) Castro. She attended Webster High School in Oklahoma City and married Lawrence W. “Bill” Doresey on September 6, 1952. Mary was a loving wife and mother, working tirelessly as a homemaker and tending to the needs of her family. She was a long time member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church; enjoyed dancing, skating, cooking and crafts. Her greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; son, Bud Doresey; granddaughter, Michelle Doresey; daughter-in-law, Debbie Doresey; two sisters, Dominga Garcia and Socorro Castro; and seven brothers, Raymond Jiminez; Phillip, Mickey, Tony, Tommy, Geronimo, Jr. and Paul Castro.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda McElroy; Donna Shannon and partner, Randy Cline; and Peggy Smiley; twelve grandchildren, Doug Lee; Chris Lee (Jenny); Ron Smiley (Mandy); Bill Smiley, Jr (Janny); Gaetanna Smiley; Billie Coleman; Michael Doresey (Christian); Kelley Shannon; Dianna Doresey; Cindy Doresey; Ashley Doresey; and Bud Doresey III (Cassi); 28 great grandchildren and a very special friend, Vicky Herber.
