Mary Guerra

Mary Louise Guerra, 71, Altus, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday, January 3, 2022. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2022 at the Kincannon Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 7th at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Mary was born on April 19, 1950 in Brownfield, Texas to Alfredo Garcia, Sr. and Francisca (Salazar) Garcia. She married her true love, Juanito “John” Guerra on April 6, 1970 in Altus. They danced through 50 wonderful years together. Mary worked as a housekeeper at the Altus Air Force Base hospital most of her adult life. She was an active member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mary greatly enjoyed dancing with her husband and playing bingo. Her most prized past-time was spending time with her family, especially her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, John; parents, Alfredo and Francisca; brother, Gilbert Garcia; and Godson, Timothy Sanchez.

She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Guerra; grandchildren, Brianna Ortiz and husband, Raul, and Adrian Flores; great grandchildren, Gabriel Ortiz and Marcela Ortiz; brothers, Alfredo Garcia, Jr. and wife, Elodia, Pedro Garcia and wife, Kris, Rudy Garcia and wife, Janie, Lorenzo Garcia, Michael Garcia and wife, Maryann, Alfredo Garcia and wife, Ruby, and Francisco Garcia; sisters, Irene Guerra and husband, Raul, Lydia Alcorta and late husband, Freddy, Elessa Sanchez, Flora Lopez, Rita Garcia, Janie Farley and husband, Clem, Alice Garcia, and Sylvia Garcia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members that love and miss her dearly.
