Maydell Hensley Foreman-Parker, 75, of Altus passed away Wednesday morning February 23, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Maydell was born to Odell and Ila Mae (Spraggins) Hensley on June 20, 1935 in Olustee, OK. She attended and graduated Olustee High School as Valedictorian in 1953. Maydell married Billy Gene Foreman May 20, 1952 in Indiahoma, OK. He preceded her in death in 1973. She married Wilton Parker in 1978 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She began working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (ASCS office) in July of 1956 and retired in November 1994 after 38 years of service. Maydell was a long time employee of The Blossom Shop and Gems, Etc. Until her retirement and illness, she was a dedicated and loyal employee. She enjoyed working with the farmers and customers. She was a member of the Olustee Church of Christ and recently attended First Baptist Church in Altus. Maydell was proud to call Southwest Oklahoma her home where she had many friends. She was “Mema” to her grand and great-grandchildren whom she loved spending time with. Maydell enjoyed home decorating along with beautiful flowers in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Ila Mae Hensley; and husbands, Billy Gene Foreman and Wilton Parker. Maydell is survived by one daughter, Tammye Foreman-Mineo and husband Doug, of College Station, TX; granddaughter, Crystal Mineo and great-grandson, Brayden Mineo, both of College Station, TX; grandson Christopher Mineo and wife, Crystal Mineo, great-grandson Cai Mineo and step great-grand children, Cayden and Brailey Charnik, of Stephenville, TX. She also leaves behind several cousins and many friends. The family will host a visitation from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at Kincannon Funeral Home.
