Michael Wayne Ray

Michael Wayne Ray, 54, Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. Memorial Services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 27th, at 700 S. Broadway in Hobart. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Michael was born on September 21, 1969, to Eugene and Bonnie Mae Ray in St. Jo, Texas. After graduating from Denton High School Michael made a career as an automotive mechanic. He joined his life partner, Tina Michelle (McGowan) Ray on November 11, 2011, and they made their home in Altus. In his spare time Michael enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, and quality family time. Michael cooked the best BBQ and was known to those who knew him as “The BBQ King”. He loved his children and all dogs. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Bonnie Mae; son, Patrick Ray; sister, Katrina Flowers; and biological parents, Billy Wayne Flowers and Betty Sue Thomas.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Tina; daughters, Regina Mae Ray and husband, Alonzo McCarver, Unique Pinnell and husband, Jory, Keosha Ray, Lorene Alvarez, Aaliyah Mae Sue Ray, and Amanda Alvarado; sons, Michael Wayne Ray, Jr., Michael Smith, Jr., Frankie Cerda, and Jared Ray; sisters, Tenna Harris and Connie Madison; brothers, Chris Flowers and Wayne Flowers; grandchildren, Aubree Pinnell, Alonni Smith, Aceynn Smith, Princetyn Smith, Naylanzer Ray, Nyziah Ray, Nessamay Williams, Adriana Alvarado, Daniel Alvarado, Jaiden Alvarado, T’nya Ray, Niasia Gilford, Alonzo McCarver, III, Kahtanna Cerda, Kingston Cerda, and Aizlynn Hill.
