Myrtle Irene Scheller

Myrtle Irene Scheller, 77, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Myrtle Irene was born to Virgil and Ela Belle (Stanford) Williams December 10, 1933 in Allen Reed, Texas. She attended school at Spring Lake/Earth, between Lubbock, Texas and Clovis, NM. She married Oscar Dean Scheller in 1949 at Muleshoe, TX. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2005. Myrtle was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed making ceramics, especially dishes and canisters. She had been living in Altus with her sister, Wanda, for the last six months. Mrs. Scheller was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oscar, two sons, Virgil Dean Scheller and Otis Dale Scheller, and four brothers, Cecil, Billy, Clinton, and Don Williams. She survived by one sister, Wanda Pruitt and husband, Jasper, of Altus, OK; two brothers, Ken Williams and wife, Linda, and Jesse Williams and wife, Jeanne, all of Amarillo, TX; six grandchildren, Jerry Dale, Billy Dean, Jace, Kenny, and Trisha, all of Phoenix, AZ, and Ela Lynn of Tucson, Arizona, and twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Gerry Pruitt and wife, Brenda, of Altus, OK and Stanley Pruitt and wife, Jamie, of Bartlesville, OK.
