Neil Edward Banks, Sr., 85, Blair, passed away early Tuesday morning January 19, 2016 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Cremation services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home.
Neil Edward Banks, Sr. was born May 31, 1930 to Corneil Joseph and Marie (Beggs) Banks in West View, PA. Neil and Myrra P. Jensen were united in marriage in Los Angeles, California on March 1, 1949. He was an electrician for forty years. From 1993 to 2015, Neil rescued St. Bernard's from all over this area. He was an amateur radio operator ham and loved to ride his Harley Davidson.
Neil is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Lois.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela L. Hunt and husband, Allen, of Michigan; three sons Neil Edward Banks, Jr. and wife, Donna, of Oklahoma City, OK, Christopher A. Hitt of Pasadena, CA and Darrell N. Banks and wife, Shirley, of Altus, OK; five grandchildren, Neil Edward Banks, III, of CA, Melissa Harris of Los Vegas, NV, Delane Ellen Davis of Ogden, UT and Paul William Anderson of Fairfield, CA; Julie Trussler of Altus, eight great grandchildren, Kyndall 17, Kiera 14, Jadin 12, Derrick 9, Kamryn 4, Renee 24, Xavier 17, Bjorn "BJ" 15; and one sister, Arda Sundstrom of Lakeport, CA.
