Nellie Mae Moore, 78, passed away early Sunday morning in her home at the Towers in Altus. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Nellie Mae Ramsey was born August 19, 1933 in Moorsberg, North Carolina to Samuel and Hattie (Morris) Ramsey. She was in the 1952 Monticello High School graduating class, Monticello, Georgia. She married Shelton Huff in 1952 in Monticello, Georgia. He entered the United States Air Force and the family was stationed in Germany, Idaho and Arizona before moving to Altus in 1975. Nellie had worked at Felker’s Café, Johnnie’s Steakhouse, Furr’s Cafeteria and Friendship Inn. She had lived at the Towers Apartments the last eight years. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and spending time with her friends and family. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anne Benton. She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Huff of Altus, OK; Barbara Korn and husband David of Nampa, ID; one son Michael Huff and wife Chrystal of North Baltimore, OH; one brother O. M. Ramsey and wife Ida Mae of Eatonton, GA; three nieces, one nephew, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her many friends at the Towers Apartments.
