Nina Lois Park, 74, Altus, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at her home. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Bill Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Nina Lois Kelly was born on April 19, 1939 to William Jess and Grace (Gable) Kelly in Detroit, Texas. She grew up and attended school in Detroit, TX. Her family moved to Elmer, OK and resided there for years. She worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital as well as English Village Nursing Home. She made many friends everywhere she worked. She was a member of the Altus Church of God. She was a huge fan of country music. She loved singing and playing her guitar and mandolin and learning to play new instruments. She enjoyed singing and playing with friends and family at Warren, OK and Tipton, OK. She played and sang at the community center, as well as on the radio at Hobart. She was also known for her music in Blair, Mangum, Sentinel, Mountain Park and Vernon, TX. She loved having family and friends in her home to play music and have a good time. Nina enjoyed writing her own songs and playing by ear. Working outside, gardening, growing trees and flowers were some of her favorite pastimes. Nina loved to paint almost anything. She spent many hours reading true crime books. Her favorite author was Ann Rule. She was also known to watch the National Geographic and Animal Planet Channels. Reading Reminisce Magazines and reading and looking at pictures of the Dust Bowl was also another of her many interests. Nina is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sherry Rush. She is lovingly survived by two daughters, Nita Glover of Altus, OK and Virginia Cass and husband, Brandon, of Karnes City, TX; two sons, Johnny Glover and Tony Glover, both of Amarillo, TX; three grandchildren, Danny Glover, Billy Rush and Nathan Jackson; and two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sue Sirmons of Altus, OK, Mary Richardson of Elmer, OK, Doris Kerbo of Oklahoma City, OK and Mickey Travis of Mission, TX; and two brothers, Bud Kelly of Elmer, OK and Arnold Kelly of Plano, TX. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
